PO+AH Pilates and Yoga is the Bellarine Peninsula's premier movement studio, situated inside our new clinic at 6D, 35-37 Murradoc Road Drysdale.

Our hand-picked team of experienced instructors offer a variety of classes for all ages and abilities, ranging from traditional yoga practice to specialised pilates, Barre and pregnancy classes.

Pilates

Pilates is a form of exercise focused on activating deep muscle layers in combination with movement to strengthen muscles and joints, improve movement and function, and decrease pain.

Led by an experienced pilates instructor, our classes are held in a relaxed environment that encourages you to move within your limits while challenging core areas of your body, including the abdominals, lower back muscles, postural muscles, pelvic floor and related joints.

No matter which style of pilates you choose, we’ll monitor your movements and encourage feedback to ensure you get the maximum benefit and enjoyment from each class.

Class length: 45 minutes
Requirements: All ages and abilities are welcome. You do not need to be a clinic patient to participate but must pre book your spot online. Please bring a mat, towel and water bottle.

Clinical Mat Pilates - Beginner and Experienced

Offered in two formats, our Clinical Mat classes involve movements and exercises modified and tailored to your body's needs. Beginner classes are ideal for anyone with little to no previous Pilates experience, while experienced classes are suited to those who have previously attended a Pilates class. You must complete a one-on-one assessment with a team member to join either class. Led by one of our trained Osteopaths, classes run for the duration of the school term.

Studio Mat Pilates

A moderately paced, full-body exercise class led by a qualified instructor , designed to improve your fitness, strength and mobility. In contrast to Clinical Mat classes, this style of mat class will guide every participant through the same set of exercises, with limited tailoring of movements. You don't need to complete an individual assessment to join but must book ahead of time to secure your spot.

Mums & Bubs Pilates

This class is designed to support women throughout every stage of pregnancy, from conception to recovery. A trained osteopath will walk you through exercises and advice to meet the changing demands of your body. The pace of this class is slow, and babies are welcome to attend. Classes run on request, so please register your interest with our reception team.

Clinical Reformer Pilates

Our Clinical Reformer Classes are led by a clinically trained health professional who will guide you through Pilates movements on our state-of-the-art Allegro II reformers. Movements are tailored to your condition and strengthening requirements and modified in line with your body's needs. Clinical reformer classes are limited to four people to allow personalised instructor assistance.

Studio Reformer Pilates

Studio Reformer Classes are also led by a qualified instructor. E ach participant (maximum of 8) moves through the same set of exercises, with limited tailoring to individual needs. This is a moderately paced, full-body exercise class to improve your fitness, strength and mobility. No individual assessment is required to join.

Therapeutic yoga course

Explore body alignment, strength, flexibility and breath work in our Therapeutic Yoga class over a five-week period. This course is designed for new yogis and experienced students who want to learn and deepen their understanding of yoga basics. Classes are limited to a maximum of 10 students, allowing time to focus on individual abilities in a fun and supportive space.

Beginners Yoga

Our beginner course will introduce yoga fundamentals and give you the confidence to step into other classes within our studio. Ideal for new yogis and experienced students, we'll explore body alignment, strength, flexibility and breathwork.

Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa is a faster style of class, combining asana (yoga postures and shapes) with breathwork to flow from one pose to the next, building 'heat' along the way. In this dynamic class, you will explore the mind-body connection through movement, breath and meditation.

Slow Flow

Slow Flow, as the name suggests, is a slower-paced class than Vinyasa, where we take things down a notch. We'll transition slowly through movements and focus on holding postures for longer, allowing for a deep connection to the body and breath. The gentle nature of this class is great for beginners but is also wonderful for more advanced students who feel like slowing it down and sinking deeper into their practice.

Heated Flow

Similar in style to Vinyasa Flow but practised in a warmer room designed to help you build 'heat' with each movement. Infrared panels warm the space to between 24- 36 degrees, which will get you sweating as you explore the mind-body connection through movement, breath and meditation.

Yin

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced and meditative style of yoga. Yin targets the connective tissues (ligaments, tendons and fascia) rather than muscles. In yin classes, poses last longer (3-5 minutes), and we focus on floor-based postures, supported by props that enable your body to really 'melt' into shapes. Yin classes are suitable for all levels of students and perfectly complement our more 'yang' Vinyasa Flow classes.
